This standard is equivalent to the international standard IEC455(1988) "General principles for the identification of equipment terminals and the application of alphanumeric system for specific wire ends".
Subject matter
This standard specifies various methods for identifying terminals of electrical equipment (hereinafter referred to as equipment), and establishes general rules for identifying equipment terminals and specific wire ends using an alphanumeric system. This standard is applicable to the identification marking of terminals of equipment (such as resistors, fuses, relays, contactors, transformers, rotating machines, etc.) and combinations of these equipment, and also applicable to the identification of specific wire ends. When necessary, detailed applications of these general rules for certain products and necessary auxiliary identification methods may be given in relevant standards.
Identification methods
One or more methods can be used to identify equipment terminals and specific wire ends: a. Use the marking system of relevant products to determine and identify the actual or relative position of equipment terminals or specific wire ends; b. Use the marking system of relevant products to determine and identify the color marking of equipment terminals and specific wire ends; c. Use graphic symbols specified in GB5465. If auxiliary symbols are required, they should be consistent with the graphics in GB4728; d. Use alphanumeric symbols specified in Chapter 5 of this standard.
